Legal structure of parent-child relationships in the current Spanish context: parental authority after the legal reforms of 2015 and 2021

Abstract
In the following pages, the current legal regime of the Civil Code of Parental Authority in Spain is analyzed from a critical perspective and following the most recent jurisprudence, brought about by the profound reforms in matters relating to minors and persons with disabilities, in order to bring it into line with the most relevant international conventions, carried out through various recent laws that have drastically changed, although not always successfully, the system that had been followed, derived in part from Roman Law, repealing institutions and creating new ones that, without a doubt, have revolutionized family law for minors in the Spanish context.
